…and June was over the moon!
[JUNE REVIEW]
Gosh! It’s been 5 months since my last review! Thankfully, a conversation between Miss Kemi (my big-sister-of-life) and I rekindled the review fire. June was a good month full of twists & turns, blessings & lessons and here are my top 9 June moments:
1
I WROTE A BUSINESS PLAN FOR OMOLE CONSULTING, UK
I’m used to working with Nigerian brands so you can imagine my surprise when on the very first day in June, I got a brief to write a world class business plan for an existing, successful startup in the United Kingdom readying for international expansion! Miss Kemi (my big-sister-of-life) recommended me to her friend in the UK and I got an international contract! Bingo!
 2
I HOSTED SIMILOLUWA KOYE-LADELE’S BIRTHDAY
On the same day I got the business plan contract, I hosted the birthday of a wonderful friend of mine: SIMI. I must confess: I didn’t set out to host the party, in fact, Simi didn’t plan for anything massive but the turnout was more than She expected and thankfully, She had friends who worked wonders in her kitchen & kept mouths busy, my service was needed & so I rose to the occassion.
Simi is very intelligent, smart and fun to be with and the birthday party….witnessed by her close friends & a few crashers….was the bomb! Many more fabulous years girl! GO SIMI! GO SIMI! GO!

EPOWER HELD LEARN FROM THE BEST 4.0
(BUY THE FUTURE) AT Obafemi Awolowo University
From the 22nd of May to the 5th of June, #TeamEpower treated attendees to the very finest ICT learning experience as we not only kept, but surpassed our promises:  drinks & snacks were served daily, no single class exceeded 22 students, our veteran instructors made the classes engaging, inspiring & gargantuan in impact, with lots of free materials right from day one, the students bonded not only intellectually but personally, and the very last day was simply over-the-moon!

4
OYAMAG INTERVIEW
Leading online youth magazine, OYAMAG interviewed me as part of a series celebrating young achievers. The feedback has been so positive & so massive. Read the full interview here: http://oyamag.com/oya-magazine-interviews-ogunbowale-olugbenga-ceo-epower/

I DIRECTED HOT SEAT SUNDAY (June 8)
Communion Christian Center welcomed fresher’s to Nigeria’s #1 university (OAU) with a smashing show! I helped direct the game show from the scripting of the questions, to the design of the slides and the entire multimedia effort. The show was complete with fastest fingers first, ask a friend, 50-50, sound effects and all the suspense you would expect from Who Wants to be a Millionaire. I was really blessed to work with a fabulous team that had Agbabiaka Michael who held the audience spell-bound as He hosted the show Frank-style and gave out a total of N7,000, my elder brother Ogunbowale Oladayo who ensured the show was hitch-free and the technical guys who left no stone unturned to make the show a cracker!

MY BABE & I HIT THE PHOTO-STUDIO
When your babe is super-duper and you are super-duper, you have to do super-duper things in your relationship. And our quest for excellence & adventure led Funke & I to perfect lens photo studio where we had the photo session of our lives! The photographer was so, so excellent as He kept churning out pose after pose, style after style (doro-concept!).

7
HIT EDO STATE FOR DESPLAY SEASON 9, SEMESTER 2 (17-20)
In January, I was selected among 35 young Africans that are currently participating at this year’s edition of Africa’s longest running & most prestigious youth democracy training program, DESPLAY AFRICA ACADEMY. Democracy Series for Participatory Learning & Actions by Youths (DESPLAY) deepens young people’s knowledge of Democracy & fosters active youth participation in governance processes, and has since 2005 reached thousands of youths from across west and south Africa. It is Funded by National Endowment for Democracy (NED, Washington DC, USA) and organized by Youngstars foundation. Ensure that you apply for season 10…your life will not remain the same!
Semester one held at Abuja, and Semester 2 was lovely as well.
It was a great opportunity to hook up with great friends, youngstars team members & a time to learn from our world class facilitators about the State of the Youth & Participation is You (kingsley Bankgwell), Governance & Social Auditing as Entry point for youth participation (Sir Bola Abimbola), how the quality of a Democracy affects citizens quality of life (Richie Felix) and other inspiring sessions.

8
SPILLED SOME SMAHING GRAPHICS….
I did a birthday design to celebrate Kingsley Bangwell (founder of Youngstars foundation) on behalf of all DESPLAYers, a notebook for The National Association of Geography Students, a magazine advert for embassy electronics, a banner for National Association of Psychology Students, a political awareness flyer for The initiative for the advancement of true love for Nigeria, logo for Awesome Continental foods amongst others.

9
AND NIGERIA CRASHED OUT OF THE WORLD CUP….
After a dismal performance against Iran and a slightly improved outing against Bosnia-H, Nigeria lost 2-3 to Argentina in a match that was full of ‘Musaic & Messi-less’ fireworks! I had hoped the eagles were going to improve on their performance, and for 80-something mins, on the last day of June, they did. The Super Eagles held France to a goal-less draw in the first half but we had injury concerns: Onazi had to leave in the second half no thanks to a wicked tackle courtesy Matuidi. That said, Musa & co wasted corner kicks and free kicks and France punished us with one late goal. I’ll reserve my comment on daddy Yobo’s own goal, his subsequent resignation from super-eagles and NFF’s lackluster handling of Keshi’s contract. #BringBackOurBoys!
That’s it for the month of June folks! Pls share your top June moments with me as comments on this post.
I hope I just inspired you to make the most of July.
Let me leave you with my ode for the ravishing
new month of July…
As wealth principles, you apply,
Your needs, God will supply.
There will be joy in your sanctuary,
And of good health, your family will be a beneficiary.
When you pray simply,
He will reply clearly.
Your impact will be extraordinary,
It will be revolutionary,
Such that a new word will be added to global vocabulary
Your results will amaze you really,
Your enemies will be stunned actually.
And your victory will not be temporary,
It will be long lasting like a Duracell battery.
This month you will fly,
Easily, highly, completely.
Your strength will not grow weary,
And your life will play like a Bill Gates documentary,
You will be blessed daily,
Your success will be told surely,
And you will succeed totally, drastically, supernaturally.
SINCE GOD CANNOT LIE,
I WELCOME YOU TO YOUR FINEST JULY!
