TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF?
My name is Akinola Babatunde Badmus Itanola. I am the last child of my parents and of course, a joy to the family. I am a proud Nigerian. I am an educator, a professional network marketer, and a loyal Arsenal fan. I am zealous and diligent in all that I do and this determination has helped me achieve some feats in life. I have been privileged to lead people in various facets of life spanning through humanity department, evangelical group, drama group, editorial unit and in the academic field. I believe in a world where everyone one out there looks after others wellbeing and thereby resulting to a zero strife or selfishness. I believe in a Nigeria where honest, hardworking and faithful youths will lead every sector so as to stand head to head with great nations of the world. Above all other things, I pursue God every day of my life.
YOU’LL BE CELEBRATING YOUR BIRTHDAY IN A FEW DAYS. WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE TO BE 25?
To be 25 feels like reaching an important milestone and for this reason, a memorial should be set up for it. If you add up the two digits in 25 together, you would get 7 which means perfection. So, I know it’s a celebration of the perfect love of God to me since all these years.
WHATS YOUR BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENT?
My biggest accomplishment apart from knowing God is to have partnered with Alliance in Motion Global Intl, an MLM Company from the Philippines! That company gives me a sense of purpose in life!
IF YOU COULD TURN BACK THE HANDS OF TIME, WHAT ONE THING WOULD YOU LOVE TO CHANGE?
I don’t really have anything I regret but yet I would prefer to have discovered my purpose earlier in life.
HOW WILL YOU BE CELEBRATING YOUR BIRTHDAY?
On celebrating my birthday. It’s no more news that I would be doing that with very important people who deserve to be loved by all and sundry. I, in company of my family and friends will be visiting an orphanage home where we will meet the abandoned, rejected, abused and orphaned children.
An inspirational talk tagged ‘HOPE TO THRIVE AGAIN’ will be delivered by a great friend Ogunbowale Olugbenga. It’s an awareness of hope that no matter what these kids are facing today, they will succeed tomorrow. Just like Gideon in the Holy Bible, we read that he came from the least of the least families in Israel, as a matter of fact, no one could have given him a chance to be a general, but when God stepped in, he had a great turn around in his life. He thrived!!!
So also, hope to thrive again must be preached unto these children especially the abused and rejected ones among them because they are not meant to just survive but to thrive, to succeed and fly high in life.
SO, WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?
I am doing this because I am an agent of hope and I know God is pleased when we consider the poor or weak among us. I chose this way to celebrate my birthday because it’s an avenue for a great number of people to be blessed!
WOW, THIS IS MASSIVE! HOW CAN READERS OUT THERE CONTRIBUTE TOWARDS THIS PROJECT?
The wonderful readers out there can contribute their quota by giving out a SMALL proportion of what they have to put a smile on a child’s face, to let them know that they are still remembered, to do what their parents would have done for them every day. It can be N500 or N1000 or N5000 or even more. The institution (Child Care Unit, Ibadan) we will be visiting on Feb 6, 2016 needs certain things like Food, Noodles, Beverages, Clothes, Juice, Pampers, Lamps, Shoes etc. You can reach me directly on 07030904218 to support this project. God bless you as you do so.
ANY FINAL WORDS FOR YOUTHS OF THIS GREAT NATION?
My final words to every youth out there… You are born for a purpose, you are not an accident, and you are a masterpiece. Let’s not live life as though we are nothing. You should leave an impact everywhere you find yourself (be a good example of excellence, dispose your wastes properly, comfort a weary heart or soul, empower people with a skill you know so well, wear a big smile always, support nonprofit projects like this one etc). The world is waiting for your manifestations, you are too loaded to fail. Whatever help you can render to your closest neighbors, please do without hesitating. God bless!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME, MR AKINOLA BABATUNDE. HERE’S WISHING YOU A POWERFUL, UNFORGETTABLE OUTING AS YOU TOUCH LIVES AT THE CHILD CARE UNIT. HAPPY BIRTHDAY IN ADVANCE.
