Here is the Kumasi-based energy start-up, making huge strides in the technology scene in Ghana. We’re pretty sure you’ll be inspired as much as we were.

What inspired the its creation?

Jorge Appiah, the founder of Creativity group, and his friends were not new to the practically handicapped educational system that tested your memory and not your understanding. Unlike other people, Jorge did not follow the “No Action, Talk Only (NATO)” formula, but he wanted to be the change he wished to see in Africa. The Creativity Group is a result of his brave endeavor.

Sustainability, her watchword

Creativity Group seeks to create a collaborative, interdisciplinary platform for undergraduate students who are eager to use their knowledge to innovate and use technology as a tool, to solve problems in communities for social interventions and sustainable development. For Creativity Group, the main objective is to use innovation and technology to solve problems in communities for social interventions and sustainable development. This streamlines and defines majority of the projects they work on and plan to do. Also, they do their best to define the sustainability parameters for each of projects. They believe it is only by defining these parameters that a project is on the right path to achieve its potential impact. For them, a project has to be sustainable to be worth the time, energy and resources pumped into it. Her plan for the future is to change a lot of the things we do not like around us. They are on the verge of causing a revolution, a revolution in ways of thinking and perception on innovation, entrepreneurship and technology for development.
