Ogunbowale Olugbenga (C.E.O Epower) is a vast digital marketer and speaker, passionate about helping organizations engage with their target audience and improve their bottom-lines using online tools. He is also passionate about providing affordable computer science education to help young people unleash their creativity and power the future.

In March 2017, He was selected as  1 of the 1,000 entrepreneurs whose ideas will shape Africa in the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Programme (TEEP).

He was also selected as a small business trainer for the ‘She Leads Africa and Facebook program’ to deliver digital marketing training to 2000+ entrepreneurs across Nigeria.

In January 2017, He was selected as an associate fellow of the Royal Commonwealth Society, United Kingdom. The Associate Fellowship is awarded to particularly engaged and talented Commonwealth citizens, in recognition of their efforts to make change in their communities.

In October 2016, Gbenga was selected as one of the top 50 emerging entrepreneurs in Nigeria by Diamond Bank and the Enterprise Development Center of Lagos Business School.

In November 2015, a short story of his life was voted as the most inspiring Nigerian story in the ‘I know a Nigerian star’ contest.

In July 2015, He was honored by the Nigerian government under the auspices of the National Youth Service Corps merit award.

In March 2015, He emerged as the Orator of the year In ‘The Orators’, Nigeria’s round of the international English speaking union speaking contest.

In November 2014, He won the Paradigm Initiative Nigeria digital jobs contest. He is a fellow of Africa’s most prestigious & longest running youth democracy training program, DESPLAY Africa (funded by National Endowment for Democracy, Washington DC and now rebranded as CANVASSITY). He is also a fellow of the League of Extraordinary Young people (LEXY), a highly competitive entrepreneurship accelerator.

In 2013, He graduated from Psychology department, Obafemi Awolowo University (Osun state, Nigeria) and was nominated as the most outstanding young Nigerian by Junior Chamber International. His flash fiction ‘BIOLA’ was named as one of the top 20 in Africa by Etisalat and He also coordinated/volunteered at FeedOne project which fed & empowered over 4,000 families in Akure, Ife & Lagos. He facilitated at 10/10: a regional impact tour by Global Paradigm Shifters to over 1,000 Secondary School Students, delivering Powerful Lessons in Purpose & Leadership for the emergence of Africa’s next vibrant & visionary young leaders.

In 2012, He won the Social Sciences Faculty prize for best presentation. In 2006, He came first in Oyo state at the Junior Engineers & Technicians project exhibition.

During his service year in Kogi state as a corps member, He was the best Millennium Development Goals trainee in NYSC camp. In Omala local government where He served, He was the coordinator of Millennium Development Goals Community Development Scheme group as well as the zonal coordinator of Nigerian Christian Corpers Fellowship. Within 2 weeks of his arrival in Kogi state, He initiated a Multimedia unit at Royal Grace Chapel church and has delivered inspiring speeches to over 2,000 students, across 13 schools in Kogi state.

During his service year in Kogi state as a corps member, He organized inter-school debates, quiz competitions and skill acquisition trainings for over 400 students from over 5 schools. Furthermore, He distributed 110 educational charts, initiated a scholarship scheme for brilliant indigent students who cannot afford fees or books, renovated Ife community secondary school library and donated books.

Gbenga is a regular keynote speaker at conferences for youths & teens including one of Nigeria’s most over-subscribed teenage camp meetings ‘Activate Youth camp’.

Under his leadership, Epower has created stunning PowerPoint slides, fantastic graphic and website designs with over 3,000 people trained in live seminars. Together with Ashaolu Gbenga, He delivers daily inspirational messages (powered by Pacesetters leadership club) on radio at Lead City 89.1 fm, Ibadan by 6:25am.
