What is a pitch deck and why should you care?

A pitch deck is usually a Powerpoint presentation of 10 to 15 slides that captures the problem you are trying to solve, your solution, what makes you different, what you have done so far (traction) among other things.

At Grant Master, we have observed a trend: grant funders are increasingly asking for pitch decks, and you cannot afford to not have one.

If you run a business or work in one, if you run an NGO or work in one, you need to advocate for a pitch deck.

Don’t stick to a rigid format when building a pitch deck. Focus on crafting your pitch around what makes you appealing and unique. If you have exciting traction (like huge revenues/customers/users/downloads), you can lead with traction.

Typically, pitch decks follow a very similar structure. To stand out, emphasize that one thing that can really hook a funder.

One great way to prepare for grant funding is to put together a badass pitch deck.
